Substance Use Programming

Substance Use Programming focuses on prevention, education, and harm reduction efforts that promote healthier communities. Our programs address tobacco, nicotine, and vaping use, provide safe prescription drug disposal options, and offer overdose prevention resources through Project DAWN/NARCAN.

Tobacco, Nicotine & Vaping Prevention

Our Tobacco, Nicotine & Vaping Prevention program provides education, resources, and community outreach to help prevent tobacco and nicotine use among youth and adults. Through awareness campaigns and evidence-based strategies, we work to reduce the health risks associated with smoking, vaping, and other nicotine products.

Prescription Drug Disposal

Proper disposal of unused or expired medications helps prevent misuse, accidental poisoning, and environmental contamination. Our Prescription Drug Disposal program provides safe and convenient options for residents to dispose of medications responsibly and protect their families and communities.

Project DAWN / NARCAN

Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided With Naloxone) is an overdose education and prevention program that provides training and access to NARCAN® (naloxone). Participants learn how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and respond quickly to help save lives while connecting individuals and families with additional support resources.
