School Nursing
The Seneca County General Health District supports, maintains, and delivers a wide variety of public health initiatives which promote healthy student activities, and prevent disease and injuries. Student health is related to success in the classroom and the following programs make a positive impact on student health and academic success.
The Seneca County General Health District has Public Health Nurses serving as school nurses. They deliver direct care to students in coordination with their healthcare providers and families with a goal of keeping students healthy and in the classroom.
Seneca County General Health District nurses also provide vision examinations through the vision program. This provides comprehensive examinations in order to promote learning through better vision.
