Prescription Drug Disposal

Keep Our Community Safe and Healthy

Two-thirds of teens who misuse prescription drugs get them from a relative’s medicine cabinet. Use proper storage and disposal to help prevent abuse. It is NOT SAFE for the environment to throw away or flush medications down the toilet. Proper disposal reduces the availability of medications to those who may abuse them and helps protect our soil and water.
